Required ingredients
The main component of the burger is beef. The meat should be 10-15% fat, otherwise the dish will turn out to be too dry. Pieces of meat should be felt well in the minced meat. It is recommended to cool the beef before chopping, otherwise the fat will start to melt.
The second ingredient is onion. It is recommended to use a knife or blender to grind it. Do not pass the onion through a meat grinder, otherwise it will let out a lot of juice and the dish will be spoiled.
To make burgers for an average family of four you will need:
- 1 kg of meat;
- 2 medium onions;
- vegetables for garnish (the classic recipe uses fresh tomatoes and salad);
- salt and pepper to taste;
- 1 tbsp. l. sauce.
You can make the sauce yourself by mixing equal proportions of mayonnaise with ketchup and lemon juice. You can also use a store-bought version such as BBQ sauce or big mac.
An integral part of a burger is a bun. Any uncomfortable option will work, but for the perfect burger, it is recommended to use a sesame seed bun, whose sweet taste matches perfectly with meat and vegetables.
The subtleties of cooking
First you need to warm up well grill barbecue, then put the formed cutlets on a greased wire rack. We cook cutlets from minced meat, to which finely chopped onions and spices are added. To prevent cutlets from swelling during cooking, you need to make a small hole in them on one side.
Fry the cutlet for 7 minutes on each side. Do not keep the meat on fire anymore, otherwise it will turn out to be too dry. Lovers of undercooked steak should reduce the time to 5 minutes. In this case, the meat will remain pink on the inside.
Cut the bun in half and grease both halves with sauce. Using summer cottage barbecues, you can pre-lightly brown the bread so that a crispy crust forms on top. Then comes the turn of the cutlets, and a vegetable side dish is laid on it. That's all, the burger is ready.
