However, the primary task of an experienced culinary specialist is not only to marinate pork or beef correctly, but also to choose the right barbecues for the garden. If this is not done, even very good food can be hopelessly spoiled.
Material selection
Most often, the brazier is made of stainless steel or cast iron. The optimum wall thickness for any of the metals is 1.5-2 mm. It is this indicator that allows you to retain heat as much as possible, but at the same time heat up quite quickly. Too thin walls made of rolled metal deteriorate very quickly - the purchase will last only a few times, after which it can definitely be sent to the trash heap. Galvanized grills are occasionally found, but few people enjoy eating meat that tastes good.
The best choice is steel of sufficient thickness. In steel and cast-iron barbecues, it is recommended to use only coals, and not whole firewood. There are usually special containers for them. Cast iron grills are considered the most durable and reliable, but they are fragile - they should never be dropped. Cast iron is a heavy metal, so it won't be easy to move the product from place to place.
Types of barbecues
By design, collapsible and solid barbecues are distinguished. The former is usually chosen if you need to transport a barbecue to nature or to the country. Such a grill can be easily disassembled and folded in a matter of minutes.
One-piece models are massive, reliable and durable, usually installed in one place and not removed for many years. For permanent use in a summer cottage, it is better to choose the second option from the middle or high price category. Too cheap products will not last long, and meat cooked in them will not have high taste characteristics.
When choosing, be sure to pay attention to the configuration:
- Skewers - should not be too thick, usually made of the same metal as the brazier.
- Fire pit - should not be too large, otherwise the heat will be unevenly distributed.
- Removable feet must be strong enough, preferably with additional attachments.
At the height of fashion barbecue table from our company AHOS, which is installed directly on the grill. This design allows 5–6 people to sit next to the barbecue and cook meat while having a fun conversation without being distracted from the grill. One such table can withstand a load of up to 150 kg. We do not save on raw materials and we manufacture worktops from natural wood with a special impregnation, which makes the wood resistant to heat.
